Public Law

EarthRights solicitors specialise in all aspects of public law - where the decision of a public authority may have caused an injustice to a citizen and the appropriate remedy may be a Judicial Review in the High Court.

We are franchised by the Legal Services Commission to conduct public law cases on legal aid.

Environmental Law

We have particular expertise on environmental issues - advising and representing individuals and campaigns on planning, pollution, wildlife and land law, appearing at public inquiries, and conducting legal challenges.

Over recent years we have acted on a large number of major development projects, including football stadia, road building schemes, sewage treatment works, incinerators and regeneration schemes; and on more local issues, such as phone masts and allotments.

Community Projects

We assist communities who wish to protect a common interest or achieve a shared goal.

This can take the form of incorporating a community company in order to manage a local project, to applying for the registration of a village green to protect local green space.
